Paul Manyara, Kenya — Blessings

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

In the last few months, our country has had to trust God to give us His peace. We had elections on August 8th which were nullified. Lord willing, we are going to have fresh presidential elections on October 26th. We would appreciate prayers so that God will give us peace during the elections and thereafter. The ministries are going on well.

TEAMS: We were blessed to have a team from Oak Brook, Illinois, from October 3rd to 8th. They were of great help and blessing to our people. We had a women’s seminar which was attended by 72 women and a Church Leadership seminar which was attended by 110 leaders. While the ladies were at the women’s seminar, Chuck helped replace a leaking roof for a needy family. They also ministered at our Thursday Bible study, did children’s ministry, visited our newer ministry at a high school, fellowshipped and ministered at our Local church.

FEEDING CENTERS: God is at work in the lives of the families. Rosemary, one of the women at one of our feeding centers, has a wonderful testimony of how God is changing their home. She is growing in her faith that has helped her make a difference in their home. Her alcoholic, unsaved husband is starting to change. Please pray that he will accept Jesus as his Savior.

CHURCH: The church is also growing, both spiritually and numerically. 28 children were dedicated to the Lord. More members are joining the church and now we have 250 children in Sunday school. The church building project is still going on. Through the grace of God and His provision, we are going to have our first baptism in the church in December. The church has been renting a swimming pool. We praise the Lord for what He is doing.

GOOD NEWS CLUB: Praise the Lord with us for the 13 children who accepted Jesus as their Savior. There has been a great change in the lives of many of these children. Only our Lord can make a difference in their lives. Most of those who know how to read have their own Bible. Please pray that they will continue to grow in their faith.

FAMILY: We praise the Lord for His faithfulness to our family. Paul jr. has returned to the US from Australia where he was for about 2 years doing his studies. Please pray that the Lord will help him find a job. We praise the Lord that he has a place to stay and a car to help him get around. Everyone else in the family is doing well. Please pray that we will all continue to grow in our faith, stay in good health, and be protected.

Thank you for praying for rain. Some parts of the country are now getting some. Other parts are still very dry and facing a great food shortage.

Thank you for your prayer and financial support. May the Lord bless you.
