SPRING 2023 NEWSLETTER

What a beautiful day it is today! Sunny, warm and the snow is almost gone (until tomorrow)! Spring is coming, though.  Ecclesiastes 3:11 ”He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:” When God created the earth and everything that He put on it, it was always good. It pleases Him, so since God created it, it is beautiful!

Elise and I have started studying the Bible with a couple of women, a mother and daughter, in our neighbourhood. They are very excited about doing this together. It is called: having a real relationship with God. We ask you to pray with us as we go through the Scripture with them. It presents clearly the sin problem and the need for salvation. We are so excited as we can see God answering our requests and leading us to those interested in the Bible! We enjoy talking to our neighbours, being friendly and hope that the Lord will draw people to Him. We thank the Lord!

Another answer to prayer is our involvement at the Community Gospel Chapel. We are grateful for a community of believers that God can use us to be an encouragement and involved in the ways the He is working here in Nova Scotia. We thank the Lord!

I am so thankful to God our Father for helping our family through the thick and thins of this challenging life. I took this picture of everyone at Christmas time. Janelle took the picture, so here she is, and also Jeremy, her oldest son, and his girlfriend. His girlfriend is not a believer yet, so much prayer is going up on their behalf. Elise and I are well. I am feeling great after the two surgeries last year. We love to walk everyday which gives us a chance to talk with our neighbours. We are happy to be involved with the new community group that was started to address the needs of the area such as a playground, clean ups (yes, people love throwing garbage out their car windows!), etc., bringing us all together. One of the many lessons that I have learned is that as you pray and seek His will, then wait and listen until He guides you to move ahead. After we waited for about two years, God is opening opportunities in our community for us to serve Him.

Something that we are ALL waiting for: Jesus said He is coming back and ALL of us are excited about His return! Acts 1:11, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Amen, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

God bless you and may His face shine upon you,

Ben and Elise
