1 Chronicles 16:9-10

“Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.”

Happy 2023!

Trust that this finds you well and that the year has started well for you.

The year 2022 had many blessings for which we praise the Lord.

In November, we had a successful Pastors’/Wives’ seminar. There were 134 of us and the Lord encouraged each one of us. Praise the Lord for His provision.

Also last year, the Lord provided the funds to build a kitchen and a dining hall for the kids at the school. No more fighting with the baboons!

Our children, granddaughter, and Paul Jr.’s girlfriend, Karrie, came home for Christmas. We had a wonderful time. It had been 13 years since we were together for Christmas. We also had the opportunity to deliver Christmas food to 11 families. Thanks for your prayers.

On Sunday, January 8, we got sad news that Leah’s older brother, Benjamin, had passed away. It was very hard, but the God of all comfort gave us His peace. He left behind a wife, 3 adult children, and 2 granddaughters. Please pray for continued peace.

Already this year we have seen the Lord working among our young people. In our local church, we had VBS and over 260 attended. Over 60 gave their lives to the Lord. Others re-dedicated their lives. In one of the 110 churches that Paul oversees, 43 people were baptized. Please pray for their spiritual growth.

Lord willing, in February, we are planning to start a new feeding center. We thank the Lord for His provision. Please pray that the Lord will help us use this opportunity to share Christ with some of these families and encourage those who are already believers.

Lord willing, we are planning to have a pastors’ wives retreat in March. Please pray for the speakers and those who will attend that we will all be encouraged. We thank the Lord for His provision.

Lord willing, we are planning to host 4 mission teams this year. Please pray for all the preparations both in Kenya and stateside. Also for journey mercies.

We still need tables and chairs in the new dining hall. Please pray that the Lord will provide the funds. We also need rain so that people and animals will get food which has been quite a challenge for many families.

We are very grateful to the Lord and to you all, our supporters, for faithfully praying for us and giving so that the Lord’s work can be done.

Special blessings.

In Christ’s Love,

Paul and Leah Manyara
