Dear Ministry Partners,

I am grateful! It has been eight months since I authored those words to you. I’m very grateful for the comfort that God brings in troubled times. “Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

In February, I did not fully understand the ramifications of what had happened during my heart operation. As it turned out, the physician cut the nerve to my right lung diaphragm. It is difficult to breathe. That God has given me the ability to preach is a miracle for which I am grateful.

Pastor Terry Weaver, a good friend, called and asked if I could preach for him at Berean Baptist Church in Okahumpka, Florida. He had been told by the doctors that he had cancer. In a matter of a few short months, he stepped into the Lord’s presence. God has given me the grace and strength to be the under shepherd to this marvelous group of people. We are in the process now of searching the mind of God for our next pastor. Please pray for Berean Baptist as we prayerfully consider a possible candidate for the church. Please pray for the church and for Connie Weaver as they recover from Pastor Terry’s home going.

God has been so gracious in that we have seen 3 people saved and 7 added to the church. Two are awaiting baptism.

1 Thess. 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”  I am grateful for the recovery that I have experienced. I am grateful for the prayer warriors that are holding me up before the Throne so that I can get back to preaching. There is a long recovery yet. The macular degeneration that I experienced is 90% resolved. PTL!

I am grateful for my loving family that is doing everything they can to shepherd me through these experiences. I am grateful for community and neighbors that watch out for each other. I am grateful for supporters that, through prayer and finances, allow the ministry of Have Bible Will Travel to continue.
