Beloved in Christ:

Warm Greetings!  I thank and praise God for His moment by moment care and protection.  Thank you for your love and prayers.  I want you to know that we pray for you too!  May God keeps you safe and healthy and joyful in the midst of this pandemic.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;” 2 Corinthians 4:8 Praise God for our Lord and Savior Whose grace is sufficient for every one of us. He Is our Motivation in life and our Encourager.  His Word is alive!

CHURCH:

We meet for our corporate worship on Saturdays because of ‘No Movement Sunday’ and hard lockdowns being imposed in our town.   Very observable is the desire of church people to worship together.  There is warm fellowship among brethren during this time.  However, there are also those who became complacent and find comfort by not going to church for different reasons, but mostly afraid to meet people outside their home.  Afraid to catch Covid 19 which is very understandable.

VIDEOS AND LIVE STREAMING/Praises:

We thank God for giving us the idea and opportunity to reach our people and have continuous Bible lessons through videos.  We also had our church anniversary celebration virtually.  It was a blessed time having audiences from different homes in town and a number from different locations who were part of our local church before.  Arno was the one who shared the Word.

Praise God for professions of faith during this difficult time in history.

We praise God that for the second time our church was able to share some food packs with a number of people in our congregation whose jobs were badly interrupted due to the heavy lockdowns.

Praise God for the answered prayers, the new building has the stairs being put up.

PRAYERS AND CONCERN:

We are very grateful!   We feel the power of your prayers, your love, and concern which is very evident through your continued support.   Please continue to pray for:

  1. Salvation of lost souls that they respond positively when they hear the Gospel
  2. Continuous desire of church people to grow spiritually and enjoy serving God
  3. Our students who lost their parents due to the Covid19 virus; 3 mothers and 2 dads. Pleasepray for the devastated families, that they can move on and find comfort in God’s Word.
  1. God’s ways and power to be able to reach with God’s Word these 22 barangays of ourtown, through videos and live streaming  as of the moment.
  1. The Day School has dropped in enrollment almost 50 percent. Please pray for teachers:Arno, Roy, Rocel, Ligaya, Marjo, Cerlita, and me to keep trusting the Lord during good andchallenging times such as this.
  1. The building project is still in progress. For its completion, it needs windows, grills, ceiling, flooring for the second floor, and dividers. Cost is $3,000.  Building materials keep rising steeply in price and are expensive.

FAMILY:

Please pray for Dannel. The small hospital in town had closed down.  This is very challenging to her faith.  She is asking God for a lot and a primary hospital where she can both practice and at the same time, freely share God’s Word to patients. The land in our town has gone up in price.  I gave her the verse, “For with God nothing shall be impossible”, if it’s His will, He will supply every need through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Unno and wife, Beryl, both contracted the covid-19 virus.  Beryl was asymptomatic and was able to go home after 10 days.  Unno had mild symptoms.  He had a cough and cold but could eat and smell. We praise God that the 3 children are all covid negative. They all have undergone the swab test.

Arno and Rocel are seven months married.  Arno teaches in church during our Saturday service.  The music he teaches is put on hold until face to face classes resume.   The Day School’s low enrollment is a big challenge, too. They look for ways to have some income by buying and selling fish online.  We are trusting God because He Is in control of all the situations.  He Is our great Provider. They are praying for a multi-cab, small pick-up type vehicle for their fish delivery.

Onyx is in grade five.  He loves to watch outdoor animals on TV then look for books that tell about them.  He is already saved and wanted to be baptized with the other baptism candidates.

Every day we are grateful for the time He allows us to live.  We earnestly pray that God’s grace will enable us to minister to the brethren, to share the Gospel with the unsaved, and to continue to grow in our faith.  “For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:“- 2 Corinthians 2:15  “But without faith it is impossible to please him:”  Hebrews 11:6

In Christ’s Matchless love,

Nelly Hiquiana
