Dear Prayer Partners and Financial Supporters,

Greetings in the unconditional Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Furlough and Summer Updates

Furlough Updates: It’s hard to believe that summer is over and fall is already here. We’re still waiting to see the leaves turn color and make the mountain side so beautiful to view. We would like to thank you for your prayers and encouraging words. We are overjoyed to share that the Lord has wonderfully provided a car for us. Used cars have become very expensive and no one in our circle of friends had one for us to use for our travels. A previous option was to use a car that couldn’t make the journey without extensive and costly repairs. But when the search for another car failed, the only option remaining was to repair the car. The car was shipped to us from Florida and we got it to a mechanic to estimate the total cost for repairs. God used Christan Brothers Automotive to repair the car and we have been using it since August without trouble. We are grateful to the Lord and to our son’s wife, Nathasha, and mother, Lori, for providing the car and to Christian Brothers Automotive who did all the work to restore the 2007 Pontiac Torrent at no cost to us. Travel is going well, and our family is well, too.

In August, we were able to go to Florida and spend a few days with Joshua and his family. It was a mandatory trip because Micaiah turned one. We couldn’t miss his first birthday especially when we are in the States! Moreover, Nathasha is such a great wife for Joshua and a great mom for Micaiah; a godly lady she is. During our travels, we stopped at Amish village in Lancaster, PA, and have recently enjoyed time at the Carolina Classic Fair.

Summer Ministry:

The churches are doing well. The month of August was full with the National Youth Conference in Kpalime and VBS in the churches at Tamany and Kove. Twenty-seven youth and three leaders attended the youth conference and returned home with a greater commitment to follow the Lord and live for Him. Thank you so much to those who have given funds for their transportation to the conference. The fund-raising for construction is moving forward. Of the remaining $80,000 needed to complete the whole building, two churches and one family have given a total of $8,000 as of September. We still need $72,000. Thank you to those who gave sacrificially. Please continue to pray that we will be able to raise the remaining funds before the end of our furlough. The orphans are doing well, and they have started school as of September.

Praises:

Praise God for a reliable car for our travels.

Praise God for safety during our travels.

Praise God for the funds that have come in for the building and other projects.

Prayer Requests:

Please continue to pray for safety during travels.

Please pray for health for us.

Please pray for growth in the three churches.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
