DEAR FRIENDS,

“O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.” Isaiah 25:1

The beginning of the school year 2023-2024 started well. Our school began two years ago and we are in our third year. The first year, 2021-2022, we had less than 100 students. In the following year, 2022-2023, we had more than 200 students. And this academic year 2023-2024, we have more than 300. We had to stop the registration because we do not have any more spaces to register more pupils. Praise the Lord! What a blessing! We have a big responsibility to teach these children and to share the Gospel message each day and through them, their relatives may be reached, also. Pray for their salvation and for their spiritual growth. Also, pray that the Lord may provide for the lot for the school which is another tool the Lord is using to reach the lost. As we have mentioned it in one newsletter, we have Muslims’ children and animists’ children in the school.

From Pastor Bruce who is leading one of the churches in Kangome in Lome, the capital town. He is sharing the following with us regarding one man who is saved recently in his church. Pastor Bruce wrote:

“His name is Paulin. Three of his married daughters have been coming to church for years. The older sister told me one day that their mother could convert easily but for their father it will be complicated because he is advanced in idolatry. God worked a miracle. On the second Sunday of September he came to church for the first time. I spoke to him when he was leaving. He made an appointment with me. He came and talked to me about his life and said that he is tired of worshipping idols. From now he decided to worship The True God. I presented the plan of salvation to him and he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Praise the Lord! He told me that he can no longer keep these idols with him. He brought them and we burned them. Brother Paulin needs your prayers”.

Acts Chapter 19:18-20 “And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed”.

The Lord continues building His Kingdom as He promised. “I will build my church”. Praise be to His Name.

Our orphans are doing well. We thank the Lord for all that He continues doing in their life.

We know that for some of you by the time you will be reading this newsletter, the team we mentioned in our previous newsletter from Hayden Bible Church, Idaho will be among us. Please, pray for their entire stay and for their ministry among us. The team will be in Togo from 16th to 23rd of this month. They will be involved in a Pastors’ seminar in Lome, the capital town; women’s conference, and children’s program in Kara which is about 370 miles from Lome. We are really looking forward how the Lord will be using them to be a great blessing to the ministry here in Togo.

We are so grateful for your prayers and financial support. May the Lord continue pouring His blessings upon each one of you.

In the Service of King of Kings,

Pastor Paul & Nicole ASSIGNON
