Dear Prayer Partner and/or Supporter:
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. –Hebrews 12:1–2 (KJV 1900)
In devotions, I walked the staff through Psalm 73 to bring out the challenges of keeping our focus on the right things of life. Two verse in particular stood out so vividly: 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all thy works. My heart leaped with joy as I contemplated His marvelous grace to consider me to be one of His children. Verse 25 says it so well, “Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.” Yes, it truly is all about HIM and HIM alone!

These are busy days for IGM and the Newharts. There are four national church planters in country at the moment. Three are visiting churches and one is recuperating from eye surgery. For the time being, he is looking like a pirate with a patch over his left eye. Surgery went well for Garnet Samuels from Grenada. His bill is being paid for by God’s people who reach out to his need (almost $8,000 including air travel). Please keep praying for our brother as he is not allowed to fly back home for 4 to 6 weeks. Then there is much preparation and the necessity of meetings for those coming in this fall to challenge the US churches to reach out to help them in the ministries to which God has called them.
The trip to India is coming together and will be finalized as we wait for the return of one more visa and then the purchase of air tickets. Three wonderful people from Open Door Baptist Church, our home church, are traveling with us on July 8—19, 2019. We will be seeing those national church planters our church supports and hopefully a few others. I really need to see P.D. Emmanuel, in Bangalore, since his wife is fighting stage four cancer. I probably could spend several more weeks, but even though the spirit is willing, the flesh doesn’t function like it once did. But, until this happens, there are many other projects that need to be completed for IGM and at our home.

We are praising the Lord for First Baptist of Angelica’s work team that came and conquered several projects that were crying out for help. Another blessing the Lord has seen fit to send our way is a dear brother (we played football together in high school), now retired (?), to help with some major projects in the IGM building. He has completely remodeled our “Bunkhouse” bathroom, electrical repairs, and a wall where one of our in-house members fell through trying to get out the back door.

Nancy and I are very busy and looking forward to our family in Virginia coming the first week of July. Not sure how many at this point since our daughter invited the girlfriends and boyfriend to come along. Nancy and I usually get to see them a couple of times a year. Nancy is having cataract surgery on right her eye, June 18 and on the left eye June 26. Please pray that the surgery will be successful.
We both appreciate your constant prayer and financial support. Our Lord is so awesome in the way He meets our needs. By His grace, He challenges people’s hearts to reach out to us and validate His presence upon our ministry. Please do remember IGM and its outreach to the world.

Sincerely, in His Unconditional Love,
Gary and Nancy Newhart
