Dear Ministry Partners,

I am grateful!

Last fall, I heard a song that struck my heart. The theme was gratitude, thanking God for the roof over one’s head, the food on the table, and the shoes on the feet. 1 Thess. 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

I am grateful for the power and presence of God that changes lives. It is a privilege to be present when the Holy Spirit draws another to salvation and watch the tears roll down her cheeks as she accepts Christ as Savior.

I am grateful to God for the wisdom that He has given to the medical community to operate on a heart through eight tiny incisions on the edge of my chest in what is called the Maze Procedure. I am grateful for the six days my heart was in rhythm and there is yet more they can do to fix it. I am grateful for the medical staff that attended me for the four days I was on a ventilator. I am grateful for the recovery that I have experienced. I am grateful for the prayer warriors that are holding me up before the Throne so that I can get back to preaching. There is a long recovery yet.

I am grateful for my loving family that is doing everything they can to shepherd me through this experience.

I am grateful for community and neighbors that watch out for each other.

I am grateful for supporters that, through prayer and finances, allow the ministry of Have Bible Will Travel to continue and they will share reward in the nurse’s salvation.
