Beloved partners in prayer,

“…This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord of hosts. How are thou, O great mountain ? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain : and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, grâce unto it.” (Zechariah 4/6-7).

This is the encouraging words I got from my wife, when we received the announcement which threatens to withdraw our land in Fada. We then took courage, having received the assurance from the Lord that He is in control and will bring us success facing this challenge. Praise to the Lord !!!

We praise God for the beginning of this second quarter of the year, which started with many challenges. We have just commemorated Easter with joy and hope in the great coming of the Lord and King Jesus Christ! Throughout the week our church in Sakoula gathered from Tuesday to Friday to remember the events of the passion week. On Saturday night 8th we had a film screening and over than 200 people attend at that projection, and 14 teenagers took decision to follow Jesus Christ. How wonderful it was to lead these young people into the kingdom ! On Sunday morning we had our Easter service during which 6 people were baptized. We give thanks to God for all these wonderful graces!

The second objective of this letter is also to share with you an urgent challenge that we are facing. In fact, we have legally acquired and have finished paying the taxes of a land in Fada since 2019, with the aim to plant a new church there. But since then, because we had the Bigtogo land to regularize, we had not been able to build anything on that land, as agreed. However the government gave 5 years to enhance the property. Thus, on March 15 we received a note from the government, which threatens to withdraw all land that were not put into value within a month.

By this mail we are sharing this urgent concern with you and invite you to pray with us, so that we do not lose this land which, if removed, could be reallocated to Muslims, who already have a school right next to the land.

Therefore, since the end of March we have been hard at work building the walls and a shed that will serve as a place for worship. Our goal is to open this church in June. The urgent need to build the walls and the shed is 7000.00 dollars. (The détails are $4500.00 to build the walls and $2500.00 for the shed) ; If this was done, we can save the land. God still being the God of miracles, some of you have been informed of the news and we have received some donations covering $3000.00; so we are now looking to raise $4000.00.

Thank you for continuously pray for God provision. God also gave us opportunity to meet a Christian shop holder, who agreed to deliver the materials to us on credit, so that we could start the work while waiting to have the money to reimburse him. This allowed us to start the construction and we already produce the bricks and lay the foundations. To God be all the glory for His grace!

Beloved, thank you for your faithful support in prayer and your donations!  We appreciate everything you are doing to help us to reach our nation with the gospel; especially in those hard time we are facing because of terrorism.

Remain richly blessed as you serve the wonderful Lord, who never forgot what you are doing in His name and for the expansion of His Kingdom!
