To our Wonderful Inner Circle Family of Prayer Partners and/or Supporters:

I took the opportunity to  look over our past prayer letters the other day and found that I have shared a lot about the journey that each one of us are traveling.  My attention to the journey was brought back to me a few days ago when sitting in the hygienist chair. I asked her how her one and a half year-old baby boy was doing  just about the time she was ready to attack my mouth. She immediately said, “Can I show you a video of him?” Well, out came the phone and she played the video.  This little guy was full of energy with his Buffalo Bills shirt with a tiny football in his hand and his little legs churning around their kitchen.  He was only wrapped up in  his moment.  He was not thinking about the future. He was just soaking in the present.  Children are only living for the moment but the time will surely come when the obvious will be staring them right in the face (Hebrews 9:27). Our hope is he will hear about the Lord Jesus and His saving grace before he passes into eternity.  For wide is the gate that leads to destruction and narrow is the way of salvation (Matthew 7:13,14).

How is it working out for you?  Salvation is not just praying a prayer, walking an aisle, or raising a hand but rather repenting from one’s sin, confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believing from your heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Then you shall be saved (Romans 9:10).  If this sincerely comes from your inner being, your journey will take a dramatic turn and your destination will change for God’s glory!  You will want what God wants and not what you want. At that moment, a new relationship is born—you and God.

Things at the  Newharts’ home are going along well.  This is the first time in our lives we can concentrate on our lives together without the pressure of others.  (Hope you understand.)  I get up in the morning and she is there and go to bed at night and she is there!  The phone doesn’t ring as much and there is a freedom to  make our own schedules together.  We have enjoyed the ministry together for over 50 years and look forward to several more according to His will! In late December, I came down with a cold of sorts. I would cough and struggle to stop.  It ended up affecting my ribs and stomach with excruciating pain when I would cough and sneeze.  The pain is about gone but sure is taking its time.  Our future looks exciting in reaching out to churches, to supporters of IGM, as well as our personal prayer partners, through phone calls and visits.

Nancy and are using our non-obligated time catching up with our many years of neglected projects.  It is unbelievable how much we collected over 60 years of house keeping. Nancy helped at the IGM office for few weeks on Wednesdays getting a Burkina Faso National Pastor ready to go to scheduled churches. Jim Arnold, IGM coordinator for Ivory Coast and Acting Director of IGM’s orphan ministry (FMI), set up his schedule and will be interpreting for him and caring for him, February 24—April 2nd. Please pray that the meetings will honor the Lord and be a financial help to the pastor.

Just a note that we will be sending The Inner Circle every two months to help our cost of mailing.  If you have an email address, we would appreciate a copy. Please let us know your email address – send to ncnewhart@igmonline.org.

In His Unconditional Love and Gratefulness,

Gary and Nancy Newhart, Your Missionaries
