Dear Prayer Partner and/or Supporter:

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? —Psalm 27:1

The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in him, and I am helped:

Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; And with my song will I praise him. —Psalm 28:7

Life is a journey and begins at the day of conception. How long and what transpires is out of our control but not God’s. However, the journey is real and full of expected and unexpected events. The journey is full of challenges, and one is faced with a myriad of decisions both positive and negative. The journey waits for no one just as time never stops ticking. Yet, every individual will be held accountable for every decision, every act, and every response outside the forgiveness of God. The greatest decision in life is one’s relationship with his Creator and Savior. Psalm 27:1 and Psalm 28:7 puts life, the journey, in proper perspective.

I was reflecting on our journey as a couple and recognized once again my personal responsibility and input. The greatness of God through it all to this point is amazing, which only builds the security and trust as the journey continues to unfold. Personally, I have been blessed with a faithful wife by my side since 1962 when the two of us began the journey together and our Heavenly Father has been in control using the two of us for His Glory! Today, we find ourselves in the grips of ending another milestone of the journey and it would appear beginning another. Of course, we have very little knowledge of what it might bring forth but for sure it will be all to His Glory! But the LORD is our light and our salvation, whom shall we fear?

It is exciting to see IGM pastors growing spiritually all over the world. Local churches are being established, souls are coming to know the Lord Jesus as Savior, babes in Christ are being baptized, projects are being completed, and God is burdening God’s people in America to enable the Kingdom of God to progress to its ultimate glory.

The transition is moving forward and our new Executive Director, Dr. Lex Reed and family, were installed by the Council, February 1, 2022. He is beginning to move his stuff into storage in New York, and the Reeds are continuing to look for a place they can call home. It looks like they will have to rent for a while, but I am reminded, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose.” –Romans 8:28.

Nancy and I are having our challenges moving my office to our home to make room for Brother Reed. Where on earth do you put sixty years of ministry tools? Well, it has taken over every spot available including the dining room. It doesn’t look too bad! We are almost done. We are looking forward to being his ambassador, helping our new director as he wishes and ministering via Zoom to many of our brothers and sisters coupled with trips as the Lord provides.  All in all, keep praying for the Reeds’ move, the Newharts’ adjustment, and for finding individuals or a couple to take Nancy’s place with all the office responsibilities.

We love you and appreciate from the depths of our being your continued faithful prayer and financial support, on which we depend. Remember God is our strength and our life!

Sincerely, in His Matchless Grace,

Gary and Nancy Newhart
