DEAR FRIENDS,

“Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:” Colossians 4:3

I had the doctor appointment last month. All he did was to prescribe three medicines once again. I am feeling better from my sore throat. However, Nicole is still having knee pains. Someone recently recommended that we go to Ghana, a nearby country, to see a woman doctor who is a specialist in this treatment. We do not know yet if we can make it. We really appreciate your prayers regarding our health issues.

Some of our pastors had health issues, too, but they are doing better now.

Timothy’s Group was in the village of Ateda March 26th for door-to-door evangelism. We thank the Lord that the people we met were very interested in the Gospel message. Please, continue praying for their salvation. The team will be in the village again the last Saturday of this month for an open-air campaign. The group had an open-air campaign at Temple Shalom, too, on the 16th of this month.

We are seeing the fruit of the Timothy’s Group in Temple Shalom, the church we are leading. Three families and some children started coming to the church. Some accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord but some have not. We started a baptismal class for eight people.

One of the churches in Lomé baptized five people last Sunday.

It is always a joy to lead someone to the believing knowledge of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. I received one woman yesterday and another one this morning. They have different situations but the same need. One of the women is possess by an evil spirit and the other one has a problem with her husband. Excuse me, friends, I know some Americans do not think human beings can be possessed by evil spirits our days. However, it is true and you can know it if you live in third-world countries, especially in Africa, or in Asia, or in South America like Brazil, Haiti, etc… as it was in Jesus’ day. Please, pray for these women who names are Adeline and Elodie.

We had two weddings services. One last month and the second one this month.

The foundation of the second church in Sokode, a Muslim town, is completed. We praised the Lord for providing for these projects and we continue praying for the Lord to provide for the rest of the projects.

The organization, Feed the Hungry, sent a 40-foot container of food to Pastor Kouami Midekor, IGM director for French-speaking countries in West Africa. He received this gift for his school in the one of the towns in the South of Togo. He gave us some of this food, Manna Pack Rice (a fortified rice and soy blend) which we cooked for our pupils before the Easter break. The children enjoyed this rice.

The Lord blessed our children with Easter boxes. As usual, the children were happy for each gift they found in their boxes.

We praise the Lord and our sincere thanks to all of you for your prayers and financial support. THE LORD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME.

MAY HIS BLESSINGS BE UPON YOU ALL.

In His Service,

Paul & Nicole ASSIGNON
