Dear Prayer Partner and/or Supporter:

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; And he knoweth them that trust in him. – Nahum 1:7

I trust you are doing well in your journey with the Lord Jesus. I am sure you are like me, wishing things would get back to the way it was before COVID. One of the progressive politicians said we would never see what we called “normal” ever again. I laughed, but he just may have been right on. Things have still not settled down and strains of the virus appear to be popping up everywhere. Lawlessness is on the rise and many politicians do not know or ignore the difference between right and wrong. These things, and many more, are no different all around the world. In many countries, persecution of Christians is on the rise directly or indirectly. Would you think that God is attempting to get His children’s attention? Maybe it is time that we stop pointing the finger at others and get about our Father’s business as He commanded in His Word in Matthew 28:18-20. What people need to hear is the TRUTH, John 17:17! This is what IGM and the Newharts are all about. This world is going to hell and people need to hear there is a better place and God, our Creator, has made a way through His beloved Son, John 14:6. Well, I have gone to preaching but my heart is burdened for those who have no idea what’s ahead of them.

On July 18th, I received this email, “Greetings in the most wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hope you all are doing well. Please pray for my husband as he was arrested by police illegally. As today is the Lord’s Day, while we were worshiping at our house church, almost 40 radicals came and warned us to stop the worship service. We said that we have permission to gather but they asked us to stop the worship service forever. But my husband said WE WILL NEVER STOP WORSHIPING THE LIVING GOD, then they complained to the police and they came and took him to the police station. My daughter and son started crying loudly, they did not understand what was happening, I was also helpless. But we thank the Lord as all the Church members stood with us to support us morally. I humbly request you all to pray for us. Whether we live or die we are going to serve the Lord.” All that I thought and could say was, “WOW!” You know, I had to ask “what would I have done?”

We live in the greatest country on planet Earth, and we have the TRUTH and so many times we just sit on it and do nothing. We can rationalize all we want but when will we stand up and be counted for His Glory?

Nancy and I are doing well! My gallbladder surgery is almost behind us. August 10th, one more trip to the Dr. office to have a stent removed from the common bile duct accompanied by a flush and removal of the stent. Pray as this whole process will take about four hours. Would you believe the doctor is from India? We both count it a privilege to serve our majestic God and Savior. Pray that the two of us will finish well for His Glory and for the advancement of the Gospel.

We are looking forward to the two church planters coming to be with us in August. They both are coming from the country of Kenya since they both have visas, passports, vaccinations that are up to date, and do not have to go through our government to get here. Pastor Allan Maina from Nairobi, pastoring the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, and Pastor Anthony Juma in Kitale, pastoring Macedonia Baptist Church. Both men are very involved in discipleship, training men and women in reaching the lost for Christ. Please pray for their time here in the USA as they challenge churches and individuals to be soul seekers for His Glory.

Let’s keep praying for America that His people will become active in presenting the Gospel of Christ.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. –Proverbs 11:30

Sincerely, In His Unconditional Love,
Gary and Nancy Newhart
