Dear IGM family,

Summer greetings.

This season is fast passing away and our rainy season is fast approaching. Last quarter, the covid-19 situation was worsening. Thank you for your prayers. The Lord has seen fit to allow, in His sovereignty and power, the reducing of the number of covid 19 cases and the lifting of a few strict government restrictions. Vaccination is also in full swing as more of our countrymen are beginning to flock our vaccination centers. Hoping that the Lord will be pleased to totally allow the containment of the covid-19 virus so we could do more for the spread of the Gospel.

Due to the improvement of our state of affairs, our government has started to ease some restriction on businesses and also in church gatherings. As a result, we have resumed our prayer meetings and fellowships for the youth and, hopefully, the couples. We are always careful to implement the safety protocols. We have also activated our discipleship group which is in charge of our cell groups. For the time being, our initial plan is to hold cottage prayer meetings with families. This way, we can strengthen and encourage our sick and depressed brethren as we commence home visitations. A few steps have also been taken to resume our new church plant in Imus city and also in Cavite that were interrupted by the pandemic restrictions. Hopefully, all our ministries will start going full swing as the majority of our church members get the vaccine.

Our online livestream ministry is still ongoing with four regular services: Sundays – Sunday School, Morning Worship, and Evening Gospel Hour and Wednesday Prayer meeting. Our viewers are spread all over the Philippines and in many different countries. I thank the Lord for this free platform where we can continue the proclamation of God’s Word even when we are not allowed to go out of our homes. We hope to be enabled to do follow-up with our listeners from far-flung areas in the Philippines when the government allows us to travel.

As our church funds are depleted due to the length of this pandemic, we have also started to raise funds to continue to provide food and basic necessities for our low- to no-income brethren and countrymen. Many have lost jobs and are in need of food and daily needs. Praying that the Lord will be pleased to provide more funds so we could also extend help to many poor and needy neighbors in our community and also reach them with the Gospel. Though we could feel and smell the stench of death staring us in our faces, we put our trust in the Lord Who never fails and continues to uphold us by His unlimited power.

It is only by the grace of God that we are protected from the deadly virus. Both my wife and I have been fully vaccinated. My children have yet to be called by the government for their shots. My wife and all my children are healthy and have helped me a lot as we continue to minister during these times. My health is a great cause of concern. Although my laboratory tests showed a big improvement in my blood sugar, the majority of the tests are not encouraging. My last ultrasound revealed I have cysts in my liver and kidney stones. Also, my prostate is enlarged, and I have gallstones. My doctor strongly advised that my gallbladder be removed immediately as it is the culprit causing all the pain inside my body. I have already started to go through the preliminary preparations. I need to have a clearance from my cardiologist and all the rest of the laboratory requirements for the operation to proceed. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is more than 3000 dollars here in our country. The procedure was scheduled for June 25, 2021. My prayer is that the Lord will continue to allow me to serve Him as long as He gives me the strength to do so.

Thank you so much, IGM, for the privilege of partnering together for the cause of the Gospel. May the Lord find us faithful as we are already seeing the signs of His imminent return.
