1 Corinthians 1:4 “I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;”

Praise God for taking the family and church family through the year 2020. Although the churches in Jamaica were closed for some months, my wife, Beverly, and daughter were instrumental in assisting me to use WhatsApp to send out messages each Sunday and weekly Bible studies to Rockcliffe and Sellington Baptist Churches’ members and friends who live outside of Jamaica.  We give God the glory for the positive feedback.

Four (4) young people got baptized in November 2020 from the Sellington Baptist Church. This was done by Pastor Godfrey Watson since I was ill.   Our daughter transported the candidates and members in the bus to the beach and back home for this baptism.  They are very active in the church.

Through love gifts from family members, church members, and friends of the churches, we were able to beautify the inside of both churches by putting up drapes and upholstery on the pews and chairs. What a might God we serve. Praise God for the spiritual growth in both churches.

On Sunday, December 20, 2020, the Sellington Baptist Church celebrated the gift of Christ in the form of a Carol Service. This included Christmas poems, Scripture reading, a message and carols.  The family sponsored refreshments at the end.

Beverly and I went on Pre-Retirement Leave starting on January 1, 2021 to the end of April 2021.  This is due to my health condition. On December 25, 2020, I was seventy-eight (78) years old.  Praise God for His faithfulness.  I served fifty-five (55) years and Beverly forty-seven (47) years in the ministry.  The churches will be unable to give financial support during retirement and as such we are grateful for your continued financial support.

The work continues in both churches for 2021.  God has given wisdom for His work to continued. Services have been conducted online for the last three (3) weeks due to the regulations given by the government to stem the increase in covid-19.  Members have been placed in groups and have been having prayer meetings via telephone.

Beverly and our daughter, Tamara, tested positive for covid-19.  Praise God, they have recovered.

Please continue to pray for:

  1. My health
  2. That God will provide pastors to take over these churches
  3. That the members will continue to serve God and work in unity

Thanks for partnering with us in the ministry.
