DEAR FRIENDS,

“[[David’s Psalm of praise.]] I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:1-3

The Lord continues doing His marvellous things among us. He is faithful towards me as usual by assisting me during my stay in the States. Nicole is doing much better regarding her back pains. She has another appointment with the doctor this month. Our children and the orphans are doing well, likewise, the other pastors’ families.

We want to share with you some of the reports from the field of Togo.

From Temple Shalom, Lama-Pissahayo

The church activities are going on well. The Lord continues drawing new people to Himself. The entire congregation is doing well. My wife had opportunity last Monday to witness to a Muslim woman. The woman came to her for medical assistance. My wife prayed with her, gave her some medicine, and shared the Good News with her. Praise the Lord that the woman was healed. The woman continued coming back to thank Nicole and she asked more questions concerning spiritual things. Please, pray for her salvation. The outreach program led by Brother Pascal is bearing fruit. We want to ask you to pray with us for two individuals: Nicolas, a teacher in high school, and the other one, Jean Baptiste, a student. They have heard the Gospel message but they are resisting giving their life to Christ. We have about seven people going through the baptismal classes right now and together with the last class, they will be baptized on May 23rd, 2021 if the Lord permits.

From Pastor Senghor, Temple de la Victoire / Victory in the Town of Sokode

For remembrance, Sokode is town mostly populated by Muslims in Togo. About 90% of the population are Muslims, but the Lord blessed us and we have two churches going there. They are thankful to the Lord for providing them recently a concrete building for their services. Thirteen people accepted the Lord as their Savior and all thirteen are in the Baptismal classes. The baptismal ceremony for fourteen people occurred Easter Sunday. Twenty-five people are in membership classes. What a joy to see the spiritual and numerical growth in this Muslim town. Please, continue praying for this church and the other where five people accepted the Lord as their Savior and Lord last month. Pastor Seck is the one leading this second church in this Muslim town. This second church does not yet have a concrete building. So please pray that the Lord may provide $2,500 for the foundation of their church building.

From Pastor Kebe, Temple de la Grace, Kpalime

Twelve people were saved and six were baptized.

Please, continue praying for our churches which do not have concrete buildings and for two who do not have land. One of our churches has to move out this week from land they are using for their church activities. The owner sold the land without telling the pastor about it. This church needs $2,500 to purchase land and another $2,500 for a concrete foundation for their building. In addition, the other three churches need $2,500 each for the same purpose.

Some of the churches in the capital town, Lomé, are not yet allowed to be open. Please, pray with us that it should be very soon. These churches have been closed since last March 2020 due to COVID-19.

We thank the Lord for all the souls saved in the last months and for the life of those who have obeyed Him through the baptismal ceremony as He commanded. Please, continue praying for these new-born babies, and for the spiritual and numerical growth of the churches.

We are very thankful to the Lord for all of you for your prayers, financial support, and for everything for without you, we do not know how we can do this.

In the Service of the King of Kings,
Paul & Nicole ASSIGNON
