Dear prayer partners and financial supporters.

We count it a great blessing to have you as partners in reaching Togo with the gospel of Christ.

“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalm 107:1

Time has flied so fast, and we are almost at the end of our furlough. We have travel more than 24.000 miles in 9 states. It is now time to pack our suitcases and to head back to Togo and continue the ministry to which we have been called.

The churches are doing well by the grace of God. In the month of August, VBS went well in both churches. In the church of Tamany, VBS was from Thursday August 8- Sunday the 11 with a high attendance of 220. There were 47 decisions of faith made during the first 3 days.

In the church of Kove, VBS was from Friday August 16- Sunday the18. It was amazing to see that almost all of the children came on Sunday the 18 to the conclusion of VBS, and 40 of them trusted Christ as Lord and Savior.

Children’s church continues in Togokome. The building work has stopped for now and will resume on the land when we get back. Please pray for the building of the shelter and for the finishing of the wall fence around the property. Hopefully next year we will be able to have VBS also in the church of Togokome after the shelter will have been built and the ministry moved to the church property.

We have collected some Christmas gifts and school supplies for the children and we shipped them already over and hopefully, those will arrive in time so we can distribute them to the children. Thank you so much for everyone who gave.
The second rainy season is rough in the south of Togo and all along the coast line in West Africa. The area surrounding the church of Tamany is flooded and it will be a little while before all the water will go away. As a consequence of that, one side of the church wall came down and need to be rebuilt. In some area people can only get to their home by canoe. The flood has generated a lot of mosquitoes than usual and probably malaria cases also will be at highest this period of the year. Please pray that the water will dry quickly.

The family is doing well. Samuel turned 17 on October 25 and the whole family was with Joshua in Florida to celebrate. Temperature has dropped even to freezing during some night now that we are in November. We are so thank full to Salem Baptist church for a nice place to stay warm. I met one of my former Piedmont Baptist college professors during fall festival at Salem Baptist church and he asked me if the weather was cold enough for me. Yes, it is really cold for me even though it was around 50 degrees and we can’t wait to get back to enjoy warmer weather in Togo. Please pray a safe return.
