Dear Partners in the Gospel,
Greetings to you in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has continued to be very gracious to us as we continue to serve Him at Evangel Baptist Church.
Recently we had some special days which were of great encouragement. We had a “Neighbour Day” when we concentrated on inviting neighbours to hear the Word. Many came and some continue to attend.
We also had a one day Missions Conference with IGM Missionaries to Togo, West Africa. Folks from two other local churches joined us for the evening service, which was a great blessing as we were challenged about missions and our responsibility thereto.
Our Youth Sunday on March 31 was well attended. One young man committed his life to the Lord. Our son Rev.Conroy Lewis, was the speaker for that occasion.
Our Easter Services saw many new faces. The 11 a.m. Service was the largest attendance in over a year. We presented the Cantata “Amazing Love” The Evening Service featured a play on the Resurrection, entitled “You be the judge”. We were
also encouraged by the good number that came.
Praise God there has been some improvement in our health. Eral still struggles with diabetes and hypertension and Merle glaucoma and hypertension. These are under control.
