Dear Friends,

” [[A Psalm of David.]] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5

What a joy! What a blessing! The Lord in His grace, in His marvelous love, took us and He is bringing us slowly and surely towards the end of this year 2022. Who knew if we would all be here at this time of the year? The Lord knew. All glory to Him. Some of us lost our dear ones; we went through difficult times and joyful times. He assured us of His presence, His guidance, and His protection.

This year 2022 has been another year of challenge in many ways regarding the ministry and the family. THE LORD IS STILL FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD. We are so grateful to the Lord for each one of you individually and for each church the Lord used and continues to use to sustain us, to hold us up in prayer in everything, and to support us financially in many areas. Yes, the Lord has provided and continues to provide for His ministry though the needs are still great. We are so thankful again to the Lord for each one of you He brought into our life and for you to be having this great part in His ministry here in Togo.

The Lord is using the school greatly as a tool, first to help the children to hear the Gospel and second, to help the parents to follow their children to church to hear the Good News and to get saved. Continue praying for the salvation of the new visitors we are having these days.

Saturday, December 3rd, was a big day in our church. Five Baptist churches from the area came together for Bible competitions. The competition was for the teenagers and the youth from those five churches. The competition started at 8 AM and ended around 4 PM. It was a long day for the children but they made it. It was the first time our church participated in this. The other four churches have been participating in this competition for several years now. We thank the Lord that our children won fourth place and have learned new things from the Word of God because of this competition.

We have started a training class for six people on Sunday morning from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. They are all enjoying it and I hope that they will use what they are learning in their life and will help others, too. 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

In a few days, the whole world, and especially those of us who are the children of the Lord, will be remembering the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What a great day that will be when we sing that joyful song in the presence of the Lord. Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL AND MAY THE LORD BE MORE GRACIOUS TO US ALL THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR 2023 AND STAY BLESSED.

In the Service of the King of Kings,

Pastor Paul and Nicole Assignon
