Dear Friends in Christ,

I bring you greetings from Fairview Baptist Bible College. The summer is almost over and it is close to the time to start the new school year. It is the intent of the school to continue to train competent, compassionate, effective servant leaders for the ministry of Christ in the local churches here in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the wider world.

Let me use this opportunity to thank all of you who have partnered with the college in the past school year, 2021-2022. Many of you have prayed, called to encourage, supported our events, and given financially for the ongoing operation of the school. I must say a special thanks to those members who made commitments for the year to be a part of our Team Faith Giving Plan. I also am taking this time to encourage and challenge you to continue this pledge for another year. It will mean a special work of grace to help in the sustainability of the school.

In our effort to manage the present resources of the college, we are continuing classes online for another year. It is our hope that several more persons will answer the call to serve in the ministries of the church and commit themselves to study with us at Fairview Baptist Bible College. We offer four programs:

  • Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Studies (4 years)
  • Bachelor of Theology in Biblical Counseling (4 years)
  • Associate of Arts in Church Ministries (2 years)
  • General Bible Certificate (1 year)

We have also opened the door, so that, persons may take a single course of their choice whenever that course comes up in the program. Several persons (here and abroad) have taken advantage of this opportunity to improve their knowledge of God’s Word. Give us a call and sign up to start your study with us when we resume on September 5, 2022.

Pray with us as we make plans to do several CXC courses starting January of 2023. It is our belief that this venture will serve two purposes: to strengthen the academic foundation of some of our college students and also to be of further service to the people in the immediate community of the college.

On your prayer list, please join us in prayer for new leaders who will commit themselves to the ongoing work of FBBC. We need new bright leaders who will study and earn their Master’s and Doctoral Degrees and provide extensive leadership to take the college to the next level.

Finally, pray that the Lord will send the help to assist us to finish the front building and fix our road to the property this year. To use the theme verse for camp this year, we are trusting God “…who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”  In the end, all the glory will go to Him.

One note of praise that gives us joy and confidence that the work of the Lord in the church is extending, is what took place in the life of one of our past students. I speak of Junior Taylor who graduated from Fairview Baptist Bible College in 2009. He went on the do further studies at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. He got married to Abigail and together they have a son, Jude. In April, 2022 the family moved to Mozambique as Missionaries to this African nation. God called him to the African Mission’s field at his last Bible Conference as a student at Fairview. From the Dumfries Baptist Church in St. James, there is a young man who has answered God’s Call, serving in Mozambique. Pray for the Taylors! Then pray the Lord of the Harvest that He will send more into His field to do the work of the ministry.

In Christ,

…………………………………………
