GOD IS TRUSTWORTHY! SUMMER, 2022
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Hello from West Dover, Nova Scotia! During my Bible study, I came across a verse with which all of us are very familiar: Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” God never changes. He is consistent. God never leaves us or forsakes us. His presence is with us all the time. God is also always working for our good. He specializes in restoration and redemption. He even gives purpose to our pain (Romans 8:28). I question myself often to see if I am living like I really believe it?
On June ninth, we celebrated living in Nova Scotia for 28 years! We thank God for Him being so trustworthy. We left our family, friends, and everything familiar, to serve Him here. That was a huge step of faith for all of our family, the children especially. He has made us feel at home and seeing people come to know the Lord has been worth more than what we sacrificed.
Our AWANA program has closed for the summer now. The last day we had a nice program for the children and their parents with awards, fun, food, and a short message. Lord willing, we will start again in September.
During the second week in July, we will be having DVBS, with 50 children registered so far. I will be security and whatever else is needed. Elise is doing one of the teaching stations. I am grateful for the opportunity that God has given Elise and I to be involved with this outreach of Community Bible Church. They had a community barbecue after church one week and it was exciting to see new people come. If you would, pray about God’s leading for a pastor. The past seven years, the church has been led by the elders and now has a candidate coming to speak a couple of Sundays.
As I come to a close, we thank you for standing with us. Your faithfulness to us and to God is why we are still here! Thank you very much!
