THE WODOMES’ NEWS

Dear Faithful Prayer Partners and Financial Supporters,

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

The second quarter ends well with the highlight on the church building of Tamany. Since our last prayer letter, we have made some progress. First, we are thankful to God for being able to finish completely the foundation before the rainy season kicked off. With the available funds, we were able to buy 1,000 bricks. Those bricks were used to raise up the side wall of the building. The central pillars are also completed.

Meanwhile, ministry continues in all three locations.

In Togokome-Agovoudou, people walk quite a few kilometers from Togokome to the church in Agovoudou. To help with transportation, we would like to purchase a tricycle motor bike and use it as a means of transportation in the village. The cost is $3,000.

Concerning the Tamany church building, we have raised an extra $1000 off the $20,000. Please pray that the Lord provides.

At the beginning of May, Elisabeth initiated a literacy class especially for the ladies who don’t know how to read and write. The goal is to help them read the Bible after the class is over. This learning section is for six months. One of the requirements for taking the class is to have an Ewe Bible which is so much needed and a song book.  Would you like to donate an Ewe Bible to a student? We need about 10 bibles and the cost is $10 each.

The church of Kove now has toilets which were necessary. Much thanks for one of our supporting churches for donating the necessary funds for the project.

Baptism and Easter Celebration.

In the month of April, we celebrated Easter together in the church of Agovoudou. We had a joint worship service with five churches in our fellowship. Twelve believers were baptized and 8 people came forward to trust the Lord. For some of them it was a life rededication to the Lord. We had a great time together from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM followed by an Agape fellowship meal for about 300 people. The theme of the sermon was the power of the resurrection.  Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.“ As believers in Christ, we all were challenged to know Him more intimately as our Lord.

The family is doing well.

Joshua and Natasha traveled to Vermont to the wedding of their friend, Olivia, where also Joshua was able to play a guitar special during the wedding ceremony. They returned safely to Florida.

Elisabeth, Samuel, and Koffi are also doing well. It is the rainy season, and the risk of contracting malaria is higher. Please pray for good health. Since last year, Samuel is practicing hard the keyboard and continues to play during church services, especially in Tamani. He also continues his schooling through video streaming.

Dear friends, thank you for all your prayers and we also want you to know that we are praying for you, too.
