Dear Prayer Partner and/or Supporter:

Thanks for staying with us down through the years. No, we are not going anywhere soon that we are able to determine. I have mentioned before that Nancy and I chose Proverbs 3:5-6 as our life verses. We all are on a journey from the day we were conceived. Each one is headed towards one of two places, heaven, or hell. Along this journey, we are faced with choices that affect our ultimate destination. God gave us a will as He did with Adam and Eve to obey or not obey. I would assume (I share with people all the time never assume) you have or are in the process or couldn’t care less concerning the choice of your destination. Nancy and I many years ago made the choice to receive the Lord Jesus as our personal Savior, putting us on the journey to Heaven according to the Bible. Many are on this journey and no two people are on the same journey but headed to the same place. No one can control every event of the journey except God our Father Who is in control of the time of our arrival into His presence.

I say all of this to help you to understand the essence of what is going on around the world of IGM and the Newharts which is only a glimpse of reality. We (Nancy and I) see great things taking place like the overflow of water receding in Naivasha, Kenya so pastor Cleophas can reunite the church folks with the buildings that have been unoccupied for almost a year. Then there are many who have purchased land and set on the brink of building a place to worship or expand their ministry God has given to them despite the pandemic that still hinders and lingers all around the world. Pastor Benjamin of Togo and Justus Wafula of Kenya are trying sacrificially to build new homes. Just a few days ago, Wilson Maungo, director of IGMKenya, was involved in an auto accident and needs your prayers for transportation.  Praise the Lord, his hospital stay was short, and he is progressing in the ministry. There are many trying new approaches to reach those who find themselves entangled on the wrong journey in Liberia. Because of COVID, the pastors in the Ivory Coast as well as in other countries are struggling to eke out an existence and keep their church families safe and growing in the Lord Jesus. Then there are those who have finished their journey here on planet Earth. Milton Williams, Grenada (1-10-2021), Kerry Psinas, Grenada, National Field Representative (4-11-2021), P.D. Emmanuel, India his daughter’s husband passed of COVID (5-2-2021), Karuna, wife of Suresh Babu, India, passed of COVID (5-24-2021), Rex Furman, former International Fields Director of IGM, passed after a long illness (6-12-2021), and Moses Weidehgar, Liberia (6-16-2021) along with others who have graduated into the presence of their Heavenly Father. Please keep their families in prayer as they attempt to move forward for the Glory of our Heavenly Father. Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of his saints.”

Nancy and I have been busy with my gallbladder surgery (still in recovery stage), our 59th wedding anniversary, officiating our granddaughter, Megan’s, wedding June 6th in Forest, Virginia, then for five days with our son-in-law and daughter at Myrtle Beach, SC, and spending a few hours with pastor Tom and his wife, Char Hauser. Then back home to resettle, back to the office to dig out, continue the recovery regiment from gall bladder surgery. On June 24th, the stent was removed from the pancreatic bile duct. On August 10th, the stent will be removed from the common bile duct. On June 26th, I will be flying to Lancaster, California for Rex Furman’s funeral. Your prayers and/or financial support are deeply appreciated, and we are looking forward this year to being able to travel (once countries open) and visit the Samuels in Trinidad and the IGMers in Grenada. Please be in prayer for Anthony Juma and Allan Maina coming to the USA this fall who already have their passports and visas.  When countries open up from COVID, our objective is to invite those who have never been to the USA.

Sincerely, in His Unconditional Love,

Gary and Nancy Newhart
