Dear Friends in Christ,

I bring you greetings from Fairview Baptist Bible College. Trust you are coping with the pandemic environment which has caused everyone to adjust our living conditions. So many things have changed and are still changing. This has left us here in Jamaica with many uncertainties, to which we are relying on the wisdom of God to give us direction.

As you may be aware, this week should have been our annual Bible Conference, a week to which we had plans to climax with a banquet. All this have had to be cancelled because of the Covid-1 pandemic. I know many of you were planning to join us for these events but they are now on hold. We are making every effort to have Rev. Jay Lucas joining us for next year’s conference.

Concerning the banquet, we have postponed it until November 6, 2020. The same tickets, dating May 8, 2020 will be good for the new date. We are hoping by then we will be clear to have the event and that many of you will join us.

We ask for your continuing prayers for the college. All courses of study will be completed this week for the 2019-2020 school year. With the government ordering all schools and colleges closed in March, most of our courses were completed online. The virtual contact with students has created new dynamics in the teaching process across all sectors of education. It becomes a communication method that all teachers and students now have to learn.

Let me say thanks to all of you who have partnered with us and gave support to the college during this school year. You have helped to keep us going during some of our most challenging times. We are eternally grateful for your contribution to continue the training of young people for the Gospel ministry. Our prayers are that you will consider continuing this commitment and assist us to fulfill God’s purpose.

Help us pray that God will raise up some 30 students for the new school year. We are looking at the possibility of changing our teaching time to the evening hours to create opportunity for persons who work and are desirous to study the Word of God. We are seeking your prayers for God’s wisdom in going forward. Pray like Paul for us that we might be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col. 1:9) as we go forward at Fairview. Once again thanks to all of your have prayed for us and assisted in any way to give support to the ministry.

In Christ,
Audley Black
President
