Timkang Family – Year End Ministry Report

Dear Friends and partners,

Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ’s Most Precious Name! This year we laid to rest, my mother, Corazon Timkang and Julie’s father, Ascendino Orillaneda in a span of 6 months. In spite of their deaths, we are grieving yet hopeful when we will see them again in eternity.

Our school year opened quite eventfully. We needed one more teacher to teach a grade and it wasn’t until the week before school opened that we were able to hire one. Finally, we found a teacher who stayed with us until the closing of the year! Praise the Lord!

Our outreaches are continuing in the following Northern towns of Cebu, namely Danao, Tabogon and Medellin. Our partners are busy in gospel preaching in these towns. Church planting and livelihood programs are also in place to help the indigent peoples there. In the South, our pastors are doing the same in these towns: Talisay, Naga and Carcar City. We are also monitoring the needed materials for our planned Multi-Purpose Building and Fellowship Center in Inabangga, Bohol! The lot is ready, yet the final budget for us to start building is yet to be provided by the Lord. All the way to our partners in Southern Leyte, we also have a huge number of children and their parents who attend our yearly Vacation Bible School and this year has seen a breakthrough in the spiritual battle for this place. We praise God for His work in Maac, Sogod, Southern Leyte for He is the only One who can free people from the bondage of sin.

Last October, we held a Pastors Appreciation Sunday where the believers gave words of encouragement, prayer and gifts. With me are the church workers assigned is different towns in Mandaue and Cebu.

Last December, we were also able to bless the pastors and workers from the LEIC or the League of Evangelical Indigenous Churches with cash gifts and rice.

We also celebrated the Church Anniversary as we held a Thanksgiving lunch together with the believers in Christ. The guests are non-believers and some are relatives of our active members so that they too may hear the gospel. I also celebrated my 62nd birthday with the believers.

This year, in March 2020, our government has declared an Enhanced Community Quarantine. No one can cross city borders, islands or other countries to prevent the spreading of the COVID-19. It has been 1 month since we last met and gathered in the fellowship hall because the government has issued an Executive Order that all citizens must follow. Therefore, we ask you to pray with us and for us for the provision of finances and food for our pastors and workers who are staying at home.

PRAYER ITEMS:

1. Budget for Multi-purpose building in Bohol $ 30,000.00 or P 1.5 million.
2. Good health, safety and strong faith in the Lord Jesus for family and the believers.
3. Financial support for the Pastors and workers: for their food during quarantine.
4. We need 5 teachers this coming school year. Please pray.
5. Our daughter-in-law’s safe pregnancy and delivery (July) because she has a heart problem (her name is Princess)

In Christ,
Joe and Julie, Jither, Jireh, Joel and Marijim and Davion, Jasper and Princess and Jotham 3rd – 4th Quarter 2019, 1st Quarter 2020
