Dear Prayer Partners and Supporters,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I write today to ask you to pray much for Pastor Wilson Maungo, IGM National Pastor in Kenya, East Africa.
We have been informed that a swarm of locusts has invaded the area around Lodwar, Kenya, where Pastor Wilson has at least one church, and the locusts are endangering the food supply there. Lodwar endures frequent famines and Pastor Wilson is concerned for his people there as a swarm of locusts could easily be devastating to them.
Secondly, Pastor Wilson’s mother has suffered a stroke. Information is scant at this point but initial evaluations say she has lost 80% of movement on her left side and cannot speak.
We will keep you informed as we receive further information on these situations.
If you are able to help financially with relief efforts in Lodwar or with medical expenses for Pastor Wilson’s mother, please send your gifts to IGM designated for either Lodwar Relief or Maungo Medical.
Above all, please keep Pastor Wilson and his family in your prayers. He carries many, many responsibilities and these situations must weigh heavy on his heart.
