Rev. Gary and Mrs. Nancy Newhart, Executive Director and Office Manager — June

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY – JUNE 17 – USA

GOD’S WORD:

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Proverbs 8:13-17

The Word of God is the most pointed and encouraging book on planet Earth. It demonstrates and declares the sovereign God of all creation. Man thinks he knows what is best for man, but much to his dismay, he comes up so short in his wisdom and understanding. For example, it doesn’t really mean a whole lot what you think, or I think about our present President. For God is the one Who controls who gets elected and who occupies the office. Sometimes, our complaining about what God has done will cause God to give us what we think we want and we will surely regret it.

NEWHART NEWS:

Praise the Lord! On June 2nd, we will celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary. Thank you, Lord!
Nancy and I are so grateful that our Heavenly Father is in control of our lives. We both continuously see the direction of God and His power upon our lives. We just made a trip south to Sterling, Virginia to visit with the Tatagiris for about an hour and a half and then on to Forest, Virginia to spend a week with Faith and Steve and family. What a joy to see our oldest grandson, Steven, receive his diploma from Liberty University in sports management, on May 19th. Then our oldest granddaughter, Megan, graduated from high school on May 26th, and on May 10th graduated from early college with her associates degree. Our travel to and from Virginia was long and safe but was uneventful. I share this to tell you how God, in His sovereignty protected us from any harm on this trip. The Monday night before we left on Thursday, May 16th, I parked our Sante Fe vehicle and everything appeared to be all right. However, when I got up to go to the Mission, there was a terrible noise when I attempted to back the vehicle out of the driveway. Gingerly, I got the vehicle to the Mission. I realized I had approximately 150 miles left on my 10-year,100,000 mile warranty. I first called AAA to have the vehicle picked up. Then that small, quiet voice said, “Give the dealer a call and check on that warranty.” To my joy, they said the vehicle was covered. The vehicle was delivered to the dealer and after a few hours, I picked up the vehicle, now working great. The left front spring was broken and the dealer put in a new spring and aligned the front end and replaced the rear brakes. I say all of this to show that God does take care of us! If we were going south and the spring broke, no telling what would have happened. Praise the Lord, God’s timing is perfect! I have never heard of a spring breaking just sitting idle. All one can say is, “To God be the glory!” We both are learning to live with the old age symptoms which are challenging, but He gives us the strength and wisdom to handle the many things on our plate these days.

IGM NEWS:

Well, when we both were away from the Mission, there are good people in place, but our work continues to pile up waiting for our attention. We came home to grass a foot high since the one who said they would care for it ended up having surgery. We had countless emails to be read and answered, and many requests from national pastors who need financial help for the many needs they are facing. How I wish I had a few million to meet the needs as they genuinely cry out to the Mission. Somehow everyone thinks the Mission has lots of money. But, there is no money on the tree outside my office window! Do pray that those who received invitation letters for our Mission Training School, August 20-27, and team traveling, August 29—October 7, will receive their visa to come to the school. We already had two national pastors invited whose visas were denied. The Lord knows who should attend the MTS.
We are so grateful for your continued personal support and/or for those who faithfully pray for us.
