MANYARA CHRISTMAS LETTER December 2018
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
God has been with us the whole year and as we come to the end we have all the reasons to thank Him for His faithfulness. There have had many blessings and also some challenges.
As most of you know Paul’s Mom went home to be with the Lord in October. She was 94 years old. Many thanks to you all who prayed for us and sent messages of condolences. We felt the presence of the Lord in a very special way. We praised the Lord that He enabled our children to come for the funeral. It was a blessing to have them.
We had two Mission Teams in October and November. The Lord used both teams in a mighty way. The one from Ohio served with us in the following ways: Built a house for a family of 10 and provided shoes, clothes, beds, blankets, school supplies, water tank and a cow for them. We also distributed food to families, did VBS , taught at a Good News club and some of them spoke at our church. The team from Illinois served with us in Leadership training. Training the trainers so that they can train other Leaders in the many churches. Over 200 Leaders were trained and equipped for the Ministry. The Pastor on the team also preached at our Local church. God is making a difference in the lives of our people. On December 16th 37 people were baptized in our Local church. Please pray for them so that they will grow in their faith. Also some Pastors were licensed and ordained so that they can be able to meet the Ministry needs in the churches that Paul is overseeing. Please pray for them.
We would also appreciate prayers for the Ministry needs in the New Area that was inaugurated in July. There is need for an office and a Ministry vehicle. Lord willing we plan to have fund raising in April. Please pray that the Lord will provide.
Thank you all for partnering with us. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
In His Love,
Paul and Leah Manyara
