The Kumars joined IGM in 2010. Rev. Prakash Kumar was born and brought up in Delhi in an orthodox Hindu family. He graduated from the United Christian Senior Secondary School in 1982 and was saved in 1984. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Allahabad Bible Seminary and his Master’s degree in Ministry from the International Institute of Church Management, Chennai. Rev. Kumar entered broadcast ministry in 1985, where he worked for 25 years as Audience Relations Officer and Program Producer. Prakash and Savita were married in 1994. Like Prakash, Savita is the first believer in her family. God blessed the Kumars with a baby boy, Prashant, in 1995 and beautiful twin daughters, Rachel and Rebecca, in 1998.
Along with broadcasting ministry, Rev. Kumar began a Church ministry in 1990. God has used him in a mighty way for the extension of His Kingdom. They have currently planted 67 house churches in northern India (Delhi-8, Uttar Pradesh-9, Rajasthan-1, Punjab-7, Bihar-36, Haryana-5, Uttrakhand-1).
