Edoh “Paul” Assignon, Togo –Conferences

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” Psalm 46:10, 11

Let us rejoice! Our God is King! He is worthy to be served!

GOD IS SO GOOD ALL THE TIME. He has led us through half of the year already. May His Name be lifted up on high.

Sonja Johnson, Financial Manager from IGM Headquarters visited Togo from the 12th to the 19th of June. It was very successful and very blessed. It was very successful because we were able to finish all the program we had planned. It was very blessed because each seminar: women’s, children’s and young girls’ went well. Good questions were raised after the teaching at the women’s seminar. The Lord blessed our time together in His ministry here in Togo. We want to thank all of you who have prayed for her trip and for her time in Togo.

The Victory Temple of Lom-Nava in Sokode had a successful 7-day women’s conference. The church also started having children’s club once a month. We are thankful to the Lord that four children joined the church because of that. The state of our church building is deplorable. We started a project for the women where they are buying palm nuts and making oil from them and are using the funds to help the church building. The building is going up slowly because they are not getting a lot from this project. Please, continue praying for us for God’s provision regarding this building.

From the new Church of Aouda, the children are really motivated to work for the Lord. Please, pray with us for the salvation of lost people and for more workers. The last day for us to pay for the church land is November 2017. Please, pray with us that the Lord may provide these funds which are about $2,000 before the due date.

From Pastor David Belley, Liberty Baptist Bible Church in Chateau, Kpalime

The youth group is doing much better and I am leading it myself. This semester is the end of the school year in Togo. Some of the children are moving to the next grade while some failed. The baptismal class is improving now that the school year exams are done. Please, pray with us that the Lord may raise up leaders for the youth and for the women’s group.

Paul is now helping teaching a Bible study group started by a young man from Temple Shalom, Kara, in a nearby village. We study every Monday evening from 8pm to 10pm. I am so impressed and amazed to see how these old ladies and men are eager to know God’s Word. They ask good questions. The oldest lady in the group is about 81 years old.

Paul has started a radio ministry. The Lord is really blessing this ministry.

Our orphans are doing well. We are very thankful to the Lord that 13 are now sponsored. Please, continue praying for the rest. Also, pray for their salvation though they are coming faithfully to church and to children’s club on Saturday afternoons.

The IGM women’s national annual conference will be held next month at Baptist Bible Church, the Solution in Lome from the 25th to the 26th. This is one of Pastor Kouami Midekor’s churches in the capital town. The women will be traveling from all over the country. Please, pray for their safety on the road.

Our annual youth conference will be on top of the mountain of Lama-bou where we have one church going. It will be held in September or in October, one week before the starting

of the school year 2017-2018.

We need 2 motorcycles for two of the pastors. Each costs about $1,100. Also, we need about $580 for running water in our house.

We are making good progress on the church building at Temple Shalom. We have made all the bricks needed to come to the height we want. We will soon be pouring concrete on the top of the small room which is the roof and will be used as the platform in the church.

We have seven people going through baptismal class right now. And they will get baptized soon.

We want to ask you to pray for a lady who was saved recently but is greatly persecuted by her husband. He beat her and broke her right arm. He sent her to their village with the broken arm. He took her cellphone and we do not know the village and there is no way we can check up on our sister. The man did not want to talk to us. It is very hard and painful for us but we know that our Lord is in control.

We are grateful to the Lord and to you for your prayer and financial support. He promises to water the one who waters. “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall

be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:25

May God bless you and all your projects.
