Clifton Smith, Jamaica — VBS

Dear Brethren in Christ,

I am delighted to inform you of the completion of two programs we determined to undertake this past summer. They were made possible through the will of God and your prayers.

Evangelistic Meetings

God gave us a blessed week. The saints were revived and encouraged through sermons like, “Ride Out Your ‘Storm’, Your Morning is Coming Acts 27” and “Rally Around the ‘Dead’; The Lord Can Use Us to Help Them Live Again Acts 14:19 – 20”, just to name a couple. The unsaved and the backsliders were challenged. This resulted in a number of people going to the altar and professing faith in Jesus as Savior while others renewed their fellowship with Him. A new “Believers’ Class” of three (3) children, two teenagers and one adult is currently in progress.

Vacation Bible School

It was a pleasure for members of our church to have been called to serve in another VBS ministry. We witnessed an encouraging number of children. The theme for this year was, “Agents for the One True God.” All its activities reflected the theme. The week was used to build and encourage the saved as well as to challenge the unsaved to trust in Jesus as Savior. Other aims were also achieved. Please see pictures below.
