FALL PRAYER LETTER, 2018
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,
I was explaining to my three year old grandson why the leaves are all over the ground and how the seasons change which causes that. He couldn’t believe it, ha! It is amazing how it can be so hot one day here and before you know it, the cool nights come and it is Fall!
I was thinking about this summer and the Lord brought to my mind Matthew 5:16: Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. This summer we had a week of day camp which was such a blessing to see. We had 54 children and many helpers to assist us. We praise God for a great week. The parents of the children were thrilled to see their children having fun and being taught the Bible. We had these children for six hours involved in crafts, sports, and skits all based on being shipwrecked but rescued by Jesus. We are thanking Him for the two children who decided to follow Jesus!
The Seaside Community Church still needs prayer. Now the church is looking for a pastor. We are continuing to rebuild the church as God leads. We are all in agreement that we want to be a light in the community. We all agree that this is where God wants us to be. We praise God that we have unity.
I would also like prayer for my neighbour, Glen. In September he had surgery which lasted ten hours. Elise and I and one of the leaders from the church went to pray for him before the surgery. I had a short Bible study and spoke about salvation. I have been talking and praying for him for a while. The surgery went well, so he can see that God hears and answers prayer. Please pray that he will understand the Gospel message and experience a changed life soon.
Our family is doing well. Ethan and Chelsea are growing in the Lord. She is working at the Christian school a few days a week, where their daughter is in kindergarten. Their baby, Finley, is growing very well, can’t tell he was a month early. I want to say thank you for praying for them and all of our children. God is good and keeps us in His care always.
God continues to use Elise and I to be a testimony in our local area where He has place us where we are telling people about the love of the Lord and how He made an impact on our lives. Just like the verse in Matthew 5:16, we all want to be a light in this darkness because God has each one of us to be a representative for Him, no matter where we live.
We continue to pray for each one of you and your family. I praise God for how you have blessed us! Your faithfulness to us as we serve Him here keeps on encouraging us. We also thank God for all He has done for you and for us as we all look for the great day of His return for us!
In His Service,
Ben and Elise Meloro
